Pino Signoretto (1944 - 2017) Impressive Murano Glass
Aquarium Bowl c1998. - A very heavy clear glass bowl with a
pink tinted wide flaring rim and three large beautifully modelled
fish suspended in the walls of the deep bowl. Etched “Pino
Signoretto 17/31” to the side it also comes with a certificate of
authenticity.
This piece was sold through Bonhams in December 2008.
Pino Signoretto began his glass making career at a very early age
working with great glass maestro’s including Livio Seguso, Angelo
Seguso and Ermanno Nason. Apprenticed to Alfredo Barbini, he
became a master glass blower in 1960 at the age of 16. He has
since gone on to be recognised as one of the leading Maestro’s of
his generation working with many great artists including Salvador
Dali, Riccardo Licata, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Jeff Koons, Dale Chihuly,
Lino Tagliapietra and Marc Quinn.
