John & Sylvia Reid for Concord Lighting c1960’s, an adjustable floor standing spotlight lamp. Designed for Rotaflex, the parent company of Concord lighting, the white coated metal base (with original foot control switch) supports the slim tubular metal column that holds the adjustable aluminium lamp cover.
Along with Robin and Lucienne Day, Ernest Race and Robert Heritage, John and Sylvia Reid helped shape British modernist furniture and lighting design in the postwar period winning three Milan Triennale medals and four Design Council awards.
