Barry White 1937 - 2020 Abstract Painting c2000.
One of a series of 4 paintings by the British abstract artist
Barry White, oil on canvas stretched over board. Barry White was a
Manchester based artist known for his large scale works, always
abstract, usually in dark hues with sparing but considered use of
colour and generally untitled preferring the painting to communicate
directly with the viewer.
Barry White’s first solo exhibition was in the late 1950’s, his
last in 2015, due to the large scale of his work much of it works
well in in corporate spaces and larger spaces, these paintings are
on a smaller scale being 62cm x 62cm each, ideal for a domestic
setting and look wonderful as a group of 4 (see last photo).
