Alberto Magnelli (1888 - 1971) was born in Florence, Italy
and exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 1910. He moved to Paris in
the early 1930’s and after the War became a major figure in the
post-war Concrete Art Movement influencing artists such as Victor
Vasarely and Nicolas de Staël.
Magnelli was selected to exhibit at the Venice Biennale again in
1950 and 1960.
