Atsonea Mid Century Design Wall Mirror c1960’s the bevelled asymmetrical pebble form mirror mounted on a dark green tinted glass panel of similar shape. All original and in lovely condition there are very minor signs of ageing to the edge of the mirror on the bevel near the bottom (please see photos) .
A rare 1960’s mid-century modern Italian design mirror from a specialist British manufacturer Atsonea was the preeminent British manufacturer of decorative mirrors throughout the 1930s and in to the 1960s, mainly known for Art Deco and Rococo-style mirrors the company shifted its focus to aerospace engineering during World War II making parts for aircraft such as the Spitfire.
The company was formally registered as B. Attewell & Sons (Engineering) Limited in 1962 but continued to manufacture mirrors alongside their Aerospace work in to the late 1960’s
