This beautifully made chair has generous proportions, is very comfortable and in excellent condition.
Andre Arbus (1906 - 1969) was a French furniture designer, architect and sculptor. Arbus exhibited at the 1925 International Exhibition of Decorative and Industrial Arts where he won the silver medal and his works are now in major collections around the world.
William Switzer were granted the rights to produce Andre Arbus’ designs because of the quality of their pieces and although a Canadian company much of their furniture is hand crafted in Valencia, Spain and Verona, Italy.
The Andre Arbus Collection of 2006 consisted of 26 designs from the original drawings.
