An erotic Vienna bronze oriental dancer, early 20th century, depicting a cold-painted Art Nouveau figurine standing on a carpet, balanced on one foot, wearing a jewelled brassiere and a hinged skirt which lifts up to reveal her naked body.
This style of bronze was very popular at the turn of the 20th century, the centre of their production being Vienna, the most famous foundry being that of Franz Bergmann.
