Pierre Laurel (Le Faguays) - An Art Deco silvered bronze
figurine "Tambourine Dancer", France circa 1920's, the stylised
dancer mounted on tall marble base with applied plaques.
Pierre Le Faguays Born in Nantes; pupil of Vibert. He
attracted the attention of the public at his first exhibition due to
the originality he gave his dancing subjects which were inspired by
the statues of Tangara. He was a member of the salon of La Stele and
Evolution groups and also worked closely with Max le Verrier. He
received a medal of honour in 1927.
