Jean Target - Ballet Dancer,  a rare bronze sculpture
edited by Susse Frères Foundry Paris France circa 1950, depicting
a dancer in motion, the bronze gilded and mounted on a palisander
base bearing an inscribed plaque dated '52.
Jean Target (1910-1997) was the official artist and sculptor
for the Opéra Garnier Paris from 1932 to 1960 with examples of his
drawings of dancers in the V&A London.
His bronzes seem to be incredibly rare with this particular one
possibly being part of a series with another variation being seen
in the background of photo eleven in this article.
