Johann Philipp Ferdinand Preiss (1892 - 1943. Based in Berlin, Preiss was the most prolific sculptor of
the Art Deco period in Germany
He is now most well known for his beautiful Art Deco bronze and
ivory figurines depicting dancers, athletes, cabaret and film stars
with an unsurpassed skill in the carving of the ivory.
