A stunning Art Deco art metal (spelter) figure by Pierre le
Faguays (Fayral), "Farandole" circa 1930s, edited by Max Le
Verrier, Paris- the semi-naked woman with a patinated finish,
mounted on a rectangular stepped black marble plinth.
Pierre le Faguays
Born in Nantes; pupil of Vibert. He attracted the attention of the
public at his first exhibition due to the originality he gave his
dancing subjects which were inspired by the statues of Tangara. He
was a member of the salon of La Stele and Evolution groups.
Received a medal of honour in 1927
