The rare "Amazon" Art Deco French bronze figure by
Marcel-Andre Bouraine, circa 1920's, edited by Edmund Etling
modelled as a huntress and with her spear, raised on stepped
bronze base, the bronze silvered and patinated, with her
La Societe Anonyme Edmond Etling was founded after the First World
War in Paris. Edmund Etling was a retailer who commissioned art
works in bronze, ceramics, and glass (mostly from French artists).
The glass pieces were usually made for Etling at the Choisy-le-Roi
glassworks. Their entire ouput was produced during the Art Deco
period as the company did not survive the second world war.
