Stefan Dakon Goldscheider Art Deco figurine - Vienna Austria,
produced c1931/32, depicting a young woman in stylish
sporting outfit with her two setters.
This is one of the rarer figurines, being unrecorded in the book
"Goldscheider - History of the Company and Catalogue of Works". The
left dog is listed as an individual model, number 6803F.
There is a slight firing flaw to the front of the base and minor
crazing.

Alongside Josef Lorenzl, Dakon is probably now one of the best known
of the Art Deco period designers to work for Goldscheider (working
from 1924) sculpting a wide range of stylish figures depicting the
"modern" woman. He worked in bronze, spelter and ceramic and also
designed for the famous firms of Katzhutte, Goebel and Keramos.
