Nisse & Kajsa Strinning, String Shelving System, Sweden
c1964 - A wonderful vintage original 3 bay shelving unit
consisting of: 2 tall wide ladders and 2 tall shaped ladders (wide
at the bottom, narrow at the top) in a lovely off white finish, 7
teak veneered narrow shelves (78cm W. x 20cm D.) and 4 teak veneered
deep shelves (78cm W. x 30cm D.) A great example of this classic
piece of mid century Scandinavian design. Designed in the late
1940’s by the Architect couple Nisse Strinning (1917-2006) and Kajsa
Strinning (1922-2017), the String system went on to win over 15
prestigious international design awards.
